Welcome
How can the insights of developmental psychology be put to good use?
Since my studies at the Universities of Trier and Constance, during my time as Professor of Rehabilitation Education at the KH Freiburg i.Br., for Applied Developmental Psychology at the ZHAW Zurich and at Tronto Metropolitan University, Toronto, I have been interested in these questions.
On the one hand as a basis for counselling and therapy, but also for supervision, organizational development and management.
Specifically, it is about health and resilience across the lifespan and in all areas of life, from school and work to the community and society.

How does psychological theory become a practice that helps people?
In my talks, workshops, and training sessions, I see theories as maps that provide guidance on what to do. Putting them into practice then requires some thought, practice, and reflection. This is what I try to convey in my courses on promoting resilience, counselling, and leadership. This involves mindfulness, peer support, team development and methods of integrative counselling.
